Same scope again?

Automate with an AI workflow.

Reuse past proposals and SOWs — draft the next section from your files and review before anything goes out.

Past work is hard to put back to use

After a few years, proposals, methodology decks, and discovery notes end up across Drive, email, and folders — and finding how you handled a similar engagement last time can take longer than the task itself.

The "where is that file?" moment

An old framework or signed proposal exists somewhere — but not where you expect. Searching folders and email for the right version is a common interruption before scoping or drafting can start.

Proposal copy-paste from memory

A prospect asks for work you have done before. You recall the shape of the scope, but still dig through drives to find the SOW, copy the layout, and piece together the fee structure you used last time.

Methodology locked in old decks

Diagnostic models, phased approaches, and report structures live in past deliverables — not in a form you can quickly apply when a new client or sector looks familiar.

Your method, on top of your files

Gather past proposals and SOWs in one place, run the same drafting steps when scope looks familiar, and check every output before it reaches a client.

How you draft and check

Instructions you would give a junior: which past files to use and how to draft and check — not a generic template, your firm's approach each time you run it.

Past proposals in the loop

Find scope, phased fees, and wording from uploaded SOWs and reports — with a link back to the file each piece came from.

Workflows you can run again

Set up a proposal drafter once — find past work, draft a section, save for review — then run it when the next similar prospect appears.

What's in A1KnowHow

Store past client documents, teach the system how you work, and run repeatable drafting flows — with review built in. Start from packs and step templates so you are not building a workflow from scratch.

Documents and workspaces

Proposals, SOWs, discovery notes, and templates — stored and organised in separate workspaces per client or practice area.

Workflows

A repeatable sequence — find past work, draft a section, save for review — you can run again for the next prospect or similar task. Step templates give you a starting layout; packs can import ready-made agents and workflows from the catalog.

Workflows docs →

You stay in control

Every workflow can pause for your review before a draft is final — so AI-generated sections are checked by you, not sent automatically.

Private deployment options

Self-hosted (free) runs on your own server with models you control — suited for solo use. On-prem Enterprise is for teams who need their data to stay on their own infrastructure, with dedicated support.

Where your know-how lives today

Proposals, frameworks, and discovery notes accumulate over time — often in more than one place — so a familiar engagement can still mean assembling pieces from scratch.

Past work, scattered

Signed SOWs, methodology decks, and client notes sit in Drive folders, email threads, and exports — with no single place that ties a past engagement together.

Familiar ask, file hunt

When scope looks like a past project, the next step is locating that proposal, the fee table, and the approach deck — then adapting names, dates, and figures by hand.

Tacit, fragmented know-how

Scoping rules, quality checks, and diagnostic steps live partly in PDF guides, partly in wiki pages, and partly in how senior people actually run engagements — but not in one defined process someone else (or an assistant) could follow.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about automating repeat proposal work and keeping client data under your control.

What is A1KnowHow?

A1KnowHow helps you reuse past client work instead of starting from scratch. Upload proposals, notes, and templates, build workflows that draft from what you already did, and review the output before anything goes to a client.

How do workflows help with repeat consulting work?

You define a workflow once — for example, pulling scope and fees from a past proposal and drafting a section for a new prospect. Run it when you need it, check the draft, and refine the workflow over time.

What types of documents can I upload?

PDFs, Word documents, text files, and more. Past proposals, statements of work, discovery notes, and methodology decks are a good place to start.

Is A1KnowHow a fit for solo consultants or small firms?

Yes. It is aimed at individuals and small teams (about 2-5 people) who handle a lot of client documents and want to automate repeat proposal work without a big setup.

A new client sends a pile of background PDFs — can A1KnowHow help?

Yes. Upload onboarding documents to a workspace and ask questions in plain language — with citations back to the source files. Use search to orient yourself before you start scoping or drafting; you can build a workflow later if you repeat the same onboarding steps often.

Can I check what we agreed in a signed SOW?

Yes. Upload the signed SOW to the client's workspace and search it — for example, whether a deliverable was in scope or what fee structure you agreed. Answers cite the source document so you can verify before you reply to the client.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. A1KnowHow Cloud includes a 30-day free trial with no credit card required. The trial includes a $2 usage credit and lets you create up to 100 documents. Additional usage limits apply. After the trial, A1KnowHow Cloud is $20 per month per account plus usage charges for AI tokens, embeddings, and document processing. There is no per-seat fee today; it is aimed at individuals and small teams (about 2-5 people).

How can I get help or support?

We offer comprehensive documentation and support resources. You can access our help center, documentation, or contact our support team if you need assistance getting started or have any questions.

How do I know drafts are grounded in my files?

Workflows retrieve from your workspaces and documents first. Sources are shown with answers and drafts so you can verify scope, fees, and wording before you send anything to a client.

Is my client data kept private?

Your documents stay in your account and workspaces on A1KnowHow Cloud. If your clients require stricter guarantees — dedicated infrastructure, no shared environment with other firms, or contractual control over where data is processed — shared cloud may not be enough. In that case, you can run a self-hosted installation on your own servers, or we can set up a secure, dedicated cloud enterprise edition for your firm: isolated to you, managed by us, without the overhead of self-hosting. See the privacy policy and self-hosted docs for details.

What are workflows and step templates?

Workflows are repeatable drafting flows you run when you need them. Step templates help you set one up faster — pick a starting point (for example, find past work, draft a section, save for review, or pause for your sign-off), fill in a short form, and refine from there.

What is MCP and why would I use it?

A1KnowHow can connect to external tools you already use. In a workflow, you can call those tools the same way you use built-in document and search steps — useful for pulling data or taking actions in other systems you run.

Can I use my own AI models?

Yes. You can configure AI models such as self-hosted Ollama for private deployments or AWS Bedrock for managed cloud models, depending on your account and setup. See documentation for provider-specific steps.

Is there a self-hosted option?

A1KnowHow supports self-hosted installations for teams that want data and models on their own infrastructure. The cloud trial and SaaS experience use the same product concepts; see the self-hosted docs for dependencies, Docker, and configuration.

Is it open source?

No. A1KnowHow is not open source today. We may release a community edition in the future.
